It never ceases to amaze me how I can be totally mindfucked after work…get in my car and drive…and arrive without having actually realised how I got to where I was going.
That is to say..my mind was in other places.
This is all very well if it’s one of the usual places you go when you are driving…ie work, home….the odd favourite haunt.
Problems, however, arise when you are in one of these mindfucked moods and you are off in la la land and you want to actually be going somewhere else. Your autopilot assumes you are going to wherever you usually go….but….you weren’t intending to. Thus it’s often when you have driven past your turnoff that you go “oh shit… I’m supposed to be going there”
This I have noticed of late, having recently changed places of abode. I often find myself driving home to my old place before realising I should be driving to my new place.

Eeedioot! Good that you have somewhere to live though! Don’t start forgetting other things like showering, eating, etc or we’ll have to commit you!!!!!
I did that for ages when I changed office… not quite the same I know
